Congratulations to CtK Alum, Mary Katherine Ham, on being named a Pritzker Fellow at University of Chicago! Check out the full announcement here.
A good read from CtK Alum, Cameron Smith, reflecting on Robert Mueller and Joseph McCarthy. (Spoiler alert: They're not alike.)
In our ongoing effort to highlight the importance of voting:
- We spent some time reading the Pew report on Americans' views of how the system is working. As part of a year-long effort to study “Facts, Trust and Democracy” Pew Research Center has conducted a major survey of public views of the U.S. political system and American democracy.
- Transportation is a huge obstacle for many voters. Lyft has announced national partnerships that aim to make it easier for people to get to the polls on November 6th.
- National Voter Registration Day is September 25th. Mark your calendars!
In response to the sad news that Sen. John McCain, battling brain cancer, has discontinued treatment, Sarah Longwell put it most eloquently:
Dear @SenJohnMcCain: You are the best of America. We will tell your story to remind ourselves of how good we can be. With gratitude.
Have a great weekend! Recheck your voter registration. Make a gratitude list. And be nice to strangers.
